Universidad APEC (Unapec) has established a formal academic alliance with India’s Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). This partnership represents the first time a Dominican university has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with an Indian institution.

The alliance focuses on internationalization through bilateral research projects, joint academic initiatives, and exchange programs for students and faculty. During an official visit to Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Unapec Rector Erik Pérez Vega received a Lifetime Achievement Award from KIIT in recognition of his leadership in the academic and business sectors.
