The Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCUYO) has initiated several institutional programs focused on research and economic development.

In early October 2026, the university opened a call for the SIIPI 2027-2029 research projects. This initiative offers a quota of 500 projects, including categories for novice researchers and institutional projects, with funding of 600,000 pesos per project distributed over two years.

Following this, the university launched an incubator program through its Business Incubator to support entrepreneurs in Mendoza. The program provides mentorship, technical advice, commercial planning assistance, and guidance on legal and tax matters to help startups navigate early-stage challenges and access networking ecosystems.
