University engineering teams have achieved notable results in international and national technical competitions.

In Mexico, the IGNIS UAP team from Universidad Anáhuac Puebla secured second place in the Multistage Hydropropulsed Rocket category at the IPN 2026 Hidrochallenge. The team, consisting of Renata Chavarri Mendoza, Ángel Didier Torres Torres, and Enrique Yáñez Sánchez, earned a perfect score of 100 points during the initial evaluation phase. The competition required the design and launch of a water and compressed air-powered rocket capable of carrying payloads for atmospheric measurement and Earth observation.

Additionally, the UAH Motorsport team from the Universidad de Alcalá earned second place in the engineering design category at a Formula Student competition in Portugal. The multidisciplinary team is developing an electric single-seater vehicle, and the award recognizes the technical and conceptual quality of their design.
