The University of Colima (UdeC) has entered into an agreement to participate in the National Program of University Auditors. This national initiative aims to provide students with specialized training in ethics, transparency, fiscal oversight, and citizen participation.

Under this program, students are able to perform social service while learning accountability and reporting mechanisms. The agreement was signed by UdeC Rector Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño and Aureliano Hernández Palacios Cardel, the Superior Auditor of the Federation (ASF), during a ceremony involving representatives from ten public higher education institutions and the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES).
