The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the written examination results for the 2026 Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) recruitment cycle. The written exam was conducted on July 19, 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage of the selection process, consisting of the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs as the nodal agency responsible for conducting these physical assessments. 

The recruitment involves 349 total vacancies distributed among the Border Security Force (108), Central Reserve Police Force (106), Central Industrial Security Force (70), Sashastra Seema Bal (53), and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (12). In accordance with government policy, 10% of these positions are reserved for ex-servicemen.
