The Vigo City Council has initiated several infrastructure renovation projects within the city. 

In early October, an agreement was signed with the University of Vigo to remodel the historic rugby field at the As Lagoas-Marcosende campus. The project, costing approximately 624,000 euros, involves replacing natural grass with high-quality artificial turf to allow the facility to host official regional and national competitions. 

Following this, the City Council approved a renovation of the ground floor of the Auditorio Mar de Vigo. This project, valued at over 1.8 million euros, aims to transform the previously underused area into a multifunctional space for exhibitions, congresses, and citizen activities, with a capacity for approximately 1,000 people.
