Urban development and revitalization efforts are underway in the Catalonia region. In Salou, a €1.9 million project has commenced around Barenys Street to improve mobility, pedestrian access, and urban quality. The six-month initiative includes expanding pedestrian spaces, constructing a bicycle lane, and creating a new green zone with playgrounds to serve as a climate refuge. The project also involves upgrading water, telecommunications, electricity, and sanitation networks.

In Barcelona, redevelopment efforts are focusing on commercial and urban integration. Initiatives include the Saló del Comerç to support merchant competitiveness and a major transformation of the Fira de Montjuïc venue. The Montjuïc project aims to integrate the site into the city fabric through increased walkability and the addition of public housing, health clinics, sports centers, and new architectural landmarks.
