Energy and infrastructure providers are securing large-scale contracts to meet the rising power demands of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers in the United States.

Initial developments included HD Hyundai Heavy Industries signing a USD 673.8 million contract with Corban Energy Group to supply 1,000 MW of power generation systems using HiMSEN engines. Additionally, Energy Vault secured a major agreement in Texas to supply 1.25 GW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and grid-forming power conversion systems for a hyperscaler AI data center, utilizing an off-grid design to avoid long utility interconnection queues.

Following these developments, LS ELECTRIC expanded its involvement in the North American market by more than doubling a previous contract to supply 38kV high-voltage distribution systems to a major big tech company. The contract value increased from approximately $70.43 million to roughly $165.72 million. To support these requirements, LS ELECTRIC is utilizing local production facilities in Utah and Texas.
