Sources: 50. Developments: 6. Football updates for Week 6 and Week 7 highlight performance trends in both the NFL and college football. In the NFL, discussions focus on quarterback rankings and team matchups, such as the Dallas Cowboys versus the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys enter their matchup seeking to improve following a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while Dak Prescott has faced inconsistent fantasy performance, recording only one game with more than 20 points. Reports also note potential roster changes for the Philadelphia Eagles due to medical concerns involving blood clotting. In college football, midseason rankings for Power 4 quarterbacks show significant movement. Miami’s Darian Mensah currently holds the top spot, leading an offense that ranks first nationally in points per game and yards per play. Ohio State’s Julian Sayin follows in second place. Other notable rises include Kamario Taylor, Gio Lopez, and Aidan Chiles, who have all moved into the top 20 from preseason rankings outside the top 50. A historic wave of upsets in Week 7 fundamentally altered the national landscape. Following a 43-35 double-overtime victory against Florida State, Miami ascended to the No. 1 spot in both the AP and Coaches Polls, marking its first top ranking since 2002. Maintaining this position, the No. 1 ranked Miami Hurricanes secured a decisive 52-23 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers. Led by Darian Mensah, who threw for 387 yards and four touchdowns, Miami moved to a 7-0 overall record and 5-0 in ACC play. Receiver Malachi Toney set a school record during the game with 16 receptions for 194 yards and three touchdowns, positioning him as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate. Recent rankings show Miami holding the No. 1 spot in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Rankings for a second consecutive week, with Ohio State remaining at No. 2. ## Claims - Cam Ward is ranked as the 32nd quarterback in the NFL Week 6 power rankings.
