Various railroads across the United States are hosting seasonal excursions for the autumn season. These events include Halloween and pumpkin-themed rides, as well as trips focused on viewing fall foliage.

In late September, reports highlighted themed activities such as the East Broad Top Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch Express in Pennsylvania, the Black River & Western Railroad in New Jersey, and services in Arizona, New Hampshire, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nevada.

By the end of the month, additional seasonal offerings were noted in Maine, where the WW&F Railway Museum operates a Pumpkin Pickin’ Train, and in Oregon, where the Sumpter Valley Railroad and Eagle Cap Excursion Train provide foliage-focused trips through various river valleys.
