Annual reports from pest control company Terminix have identified several major U.S. cities with high rodent activity based on service demand data.

Earlier data placed Atlanta as the 12th most rodent-infested city in the country, noting that falling temperatures and dry conditions often drive rodents indoors. Subsequent reporting identified New York City as the most rodent-infested city in the United States, followed by Los Angeles and Philadelphia. The updated rankings also noted that Detroit entered the top 10 for the first time.

Experts attribute these urban infestations to high-density populations, abundant food sources, and available nesting sites. Common indicators of activity include unusual droppings, damaged wiring, or gnawed packaging.
