The third edition of the Valle de Guadalupe International Film Festival (FICVG) has launched in Baja California, hosted at the Museo de la Vid y el Vino. The festival features a tribute to Chicano filmmaker, actor, and producer Luis Valdez, the founder of El Teatro Campesino.

The program includes the film ‘American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez’ and various masterclasses, musical film concerts, and discussions on regional cinema. The event integrates film with local wine culture and gastronomy, featuring an opening ceremony with a harmonization ritual performed by members of the Kumiai and Cucapá indigenous communities. According to Alma Delia Ábrego Ceballos, Secretary of Culture of Baja California, the festival seeks to foster dialogue between regional, national, and international cinema.
