Valve has introduced Violet, the fifth of six new heroes arriving as part of the ‘City Never Sleeps’ update for Deadlock. An artist-themed character, Violet utilizes abilities such as ‘Living Ink’, which allows players to steer bullets and create ink strokes to block projectiles, and ‘Flow State’, which leaves a trail that grants allies bonus slide distance while slowing enemies.

The update continues to expand the ‘Cursed Apple’ map, a supernatural version of New York City. Recent additions to the environment include revamped neutral enemies and specific points of interest, such as the Sunken Plaza and the Chinatown Bell Tower. The final hero included in this update, Nurse Harrow, is scheduled for release on October 20th.
