Sources: 15. Developments: 2. Italian rock singer Vasco Rossi and stage manager Diego Spagnoli have ended their professional partnership after 44 years. The collaboration, which began in 1982, saw Spagnoli serve as a technical coordinator managing complex stage operations and logistics for Rossi’s large-scale live productions. Rossi reported that the separation followed a heated argument during rehearsals for a recent tour. He described himself as being “nervous and tense” during the discussion, which occurred in front of witnesses and led Spagnoli to feel offended. While Rossi noted the incident was a breaking point in a relationship that had become increasingly difficult, he expressed gratitude for their decades of work together. Spagnoli announced his departure via social media, stating it was his own choice. The split occurs as Rossi prepares for a major residency at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico in June 2027 to celebrate his 50th anniversary in music. Spagnoli will not participate in the ten scheduled concerts, though Rossi stated the production will move forward. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-22: Vasco Rossi and Diego Spagnoli end 44-year professional partnership Italian rock icon Vasco Rossi has ended his 44-year professional partnership with long-time stage manager Diego Spagnoli. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/vasco-rossi-and-diego-spagnoli-end-44-year-professional-partnership ### 2026-10-16: Vasco Rossi and Diego Spagnoli end 44-year professional partnership Vasco Rossi and long-time stage manager Diego Spagnoli have ended their 44-year professional partnership following a disagreement during rehearsals, ahead of Rossi’s 2027 anniversary concerts in Rome. 13 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/vasco-rossi-and-stage-manager-diego-spagnoli-end-44-year-partnership --- Cite as: Vasco Rossi and Diego Spagnoli professional split.
