Ogun State Police recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Camry belonging to an Indian national after it was taken by a driver, Waidi Olaide Kolawale. The driver had been employed by the owner for only two days before allegedly absconding under the pretext of visiting a mechanic for tyre repairs.

Using electronic tracking, police operatives located the vehicle at a hotel in the Ifo axis. During the operation, an accomplice identified as Monday Adetunji was arrested, but Kolawale fled the scene with the ignition key. Investigators noted that the suspects had reportedly intended to remove the vehicle’s catalyst. The vehicle has since been returned to its owner, and authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
