The nicotine pouch brand VELO, owned by BAT Italia, has expanded its presence in motorsport through strategic partnerships during Italian racing events.

Initially, the brand reinforced its partnership with the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. This collaboration included featuring the VELO logo on the McLaren racing car livery and hosting consumer engagement activities, such as driving simulators and car exhibitions, in Monza and Milan. VELO noted that its products are manufactured at the Innovation Hub in Trieste.

Following the Monza Grand Prix, VELO expanded its motorsport involvement by renewing a collaboration with Aprilia Racing for the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. During the event, VELO hosted experiential activities for adult consumers both at the circuit and in Rimini. These initiatives are part of BAT Italia’s strategic shift toward non-combustion product categories.
