Venezuela has initiated efforts to host major international sporting events and is currently conducting domestic competitions. Acting President Delcy Rodríguez officially submitted a bid to Centro Caribe Sports to propose Caracas as the host city for the 2030 Central American and Caribbean Games. The proposal seeks to utilize infrastructure development in the capital to showcase national recovery.

Simultaneously, the country is hosting the IV National Communal Sports Games (Judenacom) 2026. These games include athletics and artistic gymnastics competitions across various locations, such as the Batalla de Carabobo Sports Complex and Naguanagua. The event aims to discover new talent by including non-federated athletes from local communes.
