Reports indicate shifts in the potential lineup for the 2027 Viña del Mar International Song Festival, scheduled for February 22–27. Initial speculation suggested that Italian singer Laura Pausini would participate and potentially receive a Platinum Seagull award, but reports emerged that she declined to perform, causing concern for organizers.

Following the reports of failed negotiations with Pausini, organizers are reportedly negotiating with Spanish singer Isabel Pantoja as a potential replacement. Pantoja previously performed at the Quinta Vergara in 2017, where she received the Silver, Gold, and Platinum Seagulls.
