The Victoria Royals have begun the 2026-27 WHL regular season with a strong performance, winning six of their first seven games following a significant roster overhaul. Key players such as Savin Virk and Cameron Schmidt have made immediate impacts on scoring, while goaltender Cole Prelusky has maintained a 5-0-0 record.

In addition to their on-ice performance, the team is partnering with Canadian Blind Hockey to host a ‘Try Skating and Blind Hockey’ event at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on October 21. The event is designed for community members who are blind or partially sighted and will feature volunteers from the Royals and the Victoria Canucks Blind Hockey Team. The session will include equipment fitting, skating, and arena tours.
