In Dak Lak, the Vietnam Association for Protection of Nature and Environment officially recognized several ancient trees as Vietnam Heritage Trees. These include a Cong tree in Van Hoa village, aged over 300 years, and three Dâu da đất trees in Luong Son village, ranging from approximately 100 to 210 years old.

Following this, in Vinh Long, the Vietnam Record Organization recognized a 300-year-old Bạch Mai tree at the Phu Tu Communal House as a “thousand-year-old ancient tree.” The Vietnam Association for Protection of Nature and Environment also designated a starfruit tree and a persimmon tree at the same site as Vietnam Heritage Trees. Local authorities intend to use these recognized sites to preserve biodiversity and promote local tourism.
