The Central Inspection Commission of Vietnam initially proposed disciplinary action against former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Trần Quý Kiên and Nguyễn Thị Gái, the former General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Corporation. The Commission found that both individuals suffered from political, ethical, and lifestyle degradation, violating Party regulations and State laws in ways that caused “very serious consequences” and damaged the reputation of their organizations.

Following these investigations, the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam moved to expel three officials from the Party: Trần Quý Kiên, Nguyễn Thị Gái, and Nguyễn Văn Dũng, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology in Bắc Ninh. The Secretariat cited degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, alongside violations regarding anti-corruption, waste prevention, and the responsibility to set an example. Authorities have been directed to implement administrative disciplinary measures to coordinate with these Party actions.
