Vietnam has engaged in various diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties with different nations. In late September 2026, Vietnamese Ambassador Võ Tuấn Ngọc met with Venezuela’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Eduardo Ramirez, to discuss enhancing their Comprehensive Partnership. The discussions focused on political relations, priority sector cooperation, and preparations for the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee, as well as coordinating activities for the 20th anniversary of their partnership in 2027.

By late October 2026, Vietnam expanded its diplomatic focus toward the Dominican Republic. Both nations sought to advance a cooperation agreement between their respective National Assembly and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen parliamentary ties and broader bilateral relations.
