The Vietnam Coast Guard has conducted several maritime interceptions involving the transport of undocumented goods.

On August 10, Coast Guard Region 3 intercepted an inland waterway vessel near Con Dao. The vessel was found carrying nearly 20 tons of fertilizer of unknown origin. The crew could not provide documentation to prove the legal legitimacy of the cargo, leading authorities to seize the shipment and the vessel for investigation.

On August 16, Coast Guard Region 4 intercepted a fishing vessel approximately 90 nautical miles southwest of Hon Khoai. The vessel was found transporting approximately 130,000 liters of illegal diesel oil. Similar to the previous incident, the captain was unable to provide invoices or documentation for the fuel. The cargo and vessel were seized and moved to Phu Quoc for legal processing.
