Following severe flash floods and landslides in China, Vietnamese organizations have issued formal condolences to the Chinese people.

On August 28, the President of the Vietnam Women's Union sent a letter expressing sympathy for the loss of life and property damage, noting the “traditional friendship and close ties” between the two nations. 

On August 29, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, extended condolences specifically regarding a severe landslide in the Tibet Autonomous Region near the Gyirong border gate. In a message to Wang Huning, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, she emphasized the cooperative relationship between their respective organizations.
