Vietnam is undertaking significant power grid and transmission infrastructure developments across different regions to ensure electricity supply and accommodate growing capacity. In Central Vietnam, the Central Vietnam Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has announced plans to invest approximately 4,324 billion VND into the Quảng Trị province power grid for the 2026–2030 period. This expansion includes 12 categories of 110kV projects intended to add 102.5 km of transmission lines and nearly 400 MVA of transformer capacity. The investment is designed to manage a projected increase of nearly 13,000 MW in power source capacity in the province. Simultaneously, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) is accelerating four critical projects in Northern Vietnam to secure the electricity supply. These include 500 kV substations in Hai Phong, Thai Binh, and Bac Ninh, as well as a 220 kV substation in Yen Dung.
