Initially, singers Dam Vinh Hung and Duong Trieu Vu highlighted their two-decade companionship following a meeting at Dam Vinh Hung’s coffee business. This bond, which has been a subject of public interest since at least 2017, continues to be characterized by mutual support. Subsequently, the focus shifted toward mentorship and familial-style connections between artists. Dam Vinh Hung announced a musical reunion in Ho Chi Minh City with his former protégé, Hoai Lam, marking their first stage appearance together in approximately ten years. Additionally, singer Quang Le and singer Phuong My Chi participated in a performance that clarified their relationship as a “father-daughter connection” rather than a standard talent-manager dynamic. This event also featured a reunion with singer Huong Lan. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-08: Vietnamese artists highlight mentorship and reunions in music industry Vietnamese artists Dam Vinh Hung and Hoai Lam prepare for a musical reunion after ten years, while singer Quang Le traveled from the US to support his former protégé Phuong My Chi. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/vietnamese-artists-highlight-mentorship-and-reunions-in-music-industry ### 2026-09-13: Dam Vinh Hung and Duong Trieu Vu celebrate long-standing friendship Singers Dam Vinh Hung and Duong Trieu Vu continue to demonstrate their long-standing, two-decade friendship and professional partnership following Vu's recent return to Vietnam. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/dam-vinh-hung-and-duong-trieu-vu-celebrate-long-standing-friendship --- Cite as: Vietnamese music industry professional and personal bonds.
