The Portuguese hotel group Vila Galé has expanded its presence in Northeast Brazil through two new openings.

In late October 2026, the group inaugurated the Vila Galé Collection Ópera São Luís in Maranhão. This R$ 100 million project is located in a revitalized 19th-century building in the historic center of São Luís. The opening coincided with the launch of a new Lisbon to São Luís flight route by TAP Air Portugal.

Following this, in November 2026, the group opened the Vila Galé Reserva do Paiva in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco. This facility occupies the former Sheraton Reserva do Paiva structure, which had been closed since the 2020 pandemic. The new establishment includes 298 rooms and a convention center capable of hosting up to 1,400 people.
