The municipality of Villa La Angostura is implementing several environmental infrastructure and waste management initiatives. The local government is advancing an ‘Ecopoint Network’ to improve waste separation at the source and increase the recovery of recyclable materials. This project involves using Environmental Fund resources to acquire differentiated collection points and reorienting environmental education programs to target adult populations and neighborhood boards.

In addition to recycling efforts, the Deliberative Council has approved a 110 million peso investment for an industrial chipper. This equipment is intended to process forest waste and pruning remains to reduce waste volume and mitigate fire risks. This acquisition is part of a larger 1,229,050,000 peso financial assistance agreement for environmental infrastructure and machinery, which also includes a bulldozer, a vertical press, and compacting trucks.
