NIS America announced a physical Limited Edition and a content roadmap for the hand-painted farming simulator Village in the Shade. Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, the game is set in the Japanese mountain village of Kagatsu and offers a “Village in the Sunshine” mode for a standard experience alongside a more unsettling standard mode. The roadmap includes free launch patches for new furniture, livestock, and expansion, with further DLC planned for Spring 2027.

On October 27, the game officially released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The title, developed by the creators of the Yomawari series, combines life simulation with mystery elements and is priced at £49.99 on major digital storefronts.
