Vimmerby Hockey has experienced a period of poor performance and inconsistency. Following a 4–7 loss against Almtuna, forward Hugo Lejon criticized the team for failing to support their goalkeeper and for a lack of momentum after a weak first period.

The team’s struggles continued with a home defeat against regional rival Kalmar HC. This loss highlighted a significant slump at VBO Arena, where the team has secured only two points out of 18 available in home games. Analysts have noted that addressing this home-ice performance is critical for the club to avoid a relegation battle.
