Beşiktaş head coach Vincenzo Italiano has achieved notable success in European competition, recording seven wins in eight UEFA Europa League matches. His tactical approach utilizes a 4-2-3-1 formation focused on ball possession, high pressing, and rapid transitions. During this period, Italiano addressed player management, specifically regarding midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, noting that Ndidi is a high-level player whose playing time is managed to control workloads.

Italiano has expressed satisfaction with his role in Turkey, stating he feels at home and enjoys the working environment. While addressing past rumors of a move to Napoli, he described his relationship with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis as a “platonic love” characterized by mutual respect but a lack of effective communication. His primary stated objective is to win the Süper Lig championship.
