Authorities in Montenegro have addressed several incidents of knife-related violence. In Podgorica, the Higher State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Vehid Murić for the triple homicide of Denis Hot, Nezrin Hot, and Kenan Miraljemović. The indictment alleges that Murić attacked the three men, who were acquaintances, with a kitchen knife at a residence in the Stari Aerodrom neighborhood on April 20, 2026. Murić was apprehended in Rožaje following the attack.

Reports also indicate a broader trend of violence involving cold weapons across the country, including a stabbing incident in Pljevalja involving Behudin Nahodović and an attempted attack on a mother in Novljan.
