Sources: 13. Developments: 2. Brazilian influencer Virginia Fonseca has faced significant social media backlash regarding her public conduct and financial requests. The controversy began after Fonseca requested donations from her followers via Pix to assist Jaqueline Byanca, a nanny for one of her children, who lost her belongings in an apartment fire in Goiânia. Critics questioned the timing of this request, noting it occurred immediately after Fonseca hosted a lavish birthday party for her daughter. Scrutiny intensified when video footage surfaced showing Fonseca dancing with US dollar bills attached to her waist and hands at a nightclub in Miami. Many internet users pointed out a perceived contradiction between her appeal for financial aid and the ostentatious display of cash. While critics have questioned her coherence, others have defended the influencer, arguing that she maintains autonomy over her personal finances and suggesting that her recent breakup with footballer Vini Jr. justifies personal celebrations. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-26: Virginia Fonseca faces social media backlash over Miami party video Influencer Virginia Fonseca faces criticism after a video of her dancing with dollar bills in Miami went viral, contrasting with her recent plea for donations for her nanny. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/virginia-fonseca-faces-criticism-after-dancing-with-dollars-in-miami ### 2026-10-23: Virginia Fonseca faces criticism over fundraiser for nanny after luxury party Influencer Virginia Fonseca is facing backlash for asking followers to donate to her nanny, who lost her home and belongings in a Goiânia apartment fire, following Fonseca's own R$ 250,000 birthday celebration. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/virginia-fonseca-faces-criticism-over-fundraiser-for-nanny-after-luxury-party --- Cite as: Virginia Fonseca social media controversy.
