In the Marche region, approximately 1,000 volunteers from 160 organizations gathered for the Marche Region Civil Protection Volunteer Day, featuring a parade and ceremony to honor those managing regional emergencies. This event marked ten years since the 2016 seismic events in the area. Similarly, in the Province of Como, over 1,500 civil protection volunteers were honored for their roles in managing emergencies such as forest fires and floods in Emilia-Romagna. Local initiatives also include the upcoming ‘Festa del Volontariato’ in Vecchiano, titled ‘Insieme per la Comunità’ (Together for the Community).
