Walt Disney World has experienced operational disruptions linked to weather and technical issues. On September 24, more than 30 attractions across all four theme parks faced temporary closures. At Magic Kingdom, rides such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Pirates of the Caribbean experienced shutdowns ranging from 35 to 60 minutes due to a combination of severe Florida weather, mechanical failures, and computer sensor resets.

By early October, the resort faced potential further disruptions due to an unsettled weather pattern in Central Florida. While no tropical cyclones were expected, the National Weather Service predicted persistent showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.

On October 8, severe weather disrupted Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Heavy rain forced the cancellation of the first showing of the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and several performances of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Cinderella Castle. Although a second parade was held, it was rescheduled to an earlier time, and the Headless Horseman character was notably absent.
