Musician Warren Haynes announced the upcoming release of ‘Dreams & Songs: A Symphonic Journey,’ an orchestral album featuring his music reimagined by a 64-piece orchestra, including the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. Recorded in 2019 at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, North Carolina, the project includes material from his work with Gov’t Mule, the Allman Brothers Band, and his solo career.

Following the announcement, Haynes released a live orchestral version of the song ‘Banks of the Deep End’ as a preview. This specific recording features a lineup of improvisational musicians, including Oteil Burbridge, John Medeski, Jeff Sipe, and Greg Osby. The arrangement highlights the dramatic shifts of the composition, which originally appeared on Gov’t Mule’s 2001 album ‘The Deep End, Volume 1.’
