In Poland, new waste management and recycling initiatives are being introduced across multiple regions. 

In the Copper Basin Municipalities Union area, a collaboration with Polkowice Recycling Valley has launched an e-waste collection campaign in schools. Scheduled to run from September 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, the program targets small electronic devices like phones, tablets, and toys. The initiative incorporates an educational component, using a competition to encourage waste collection by offering schools prizes such as sports equipment and educational materials.

Additionally, the city of Toruń is reinstating a mobile selective waste collection point (MPSZOK) in residential neighborhoods starting September 5. This service allows residents to dispose of textiles, batteries, expired medications, small electronics, and hazardous chemicals, serving as a mobile supplement to the city’s permanent collection sites.
