CorPower Ocean received the world’s first DNV Prototype Certificate for its C4 wave energy converter, confirming the device meets safety and reliability standards for storm conditions. This milestone is intended to reduce technology risk and facilitate commercial deployment of wave farms in Portugal and Scotland between 2027 and 2029.

In Portugal, Eco Wave Power has moved toward a 1 MW project in Porto following the commencement of rehabilitation works at the Barra do Douro breakwater. These repairs, necessitated by storm damage, are required before equipment installation can begin. To accommodate the infrastructure timeline, the port authority APDL has agreed to support a request to extend the project’s grid-connection deadline.
