The anime series ‘Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun’ has seen recent commercial and production developments in Japan.

In mid-September 2026, the karaoke chain Karaoke Kan announced a collaboration campaign scheduled to run from September 18 through November 1, 2026. The event includes singing contests, themed non-alcoholic drinks, original merchandise, and dedicated collaboration rooms at specific locations in Tokyo and Osaka.

On September 27, 2026, during the ‘DEVIL’S PARTY! 2’ special event at the Nippon Kogakuin Arena, officials announced that an animated feature film is in production. While a specific release date has not been confirmed, the film is anticipated to premiere in Japanese theaters in 2027, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the manga’s serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion.

Unlike previous adaptations, the film is expected to tell a “completely original story” that does not directly correspond to existing arcs in Osamu Nishi’s manga. The announcement, which included a teaser video, follows the conclusion of the anime’s fourth season and comes as the series has surpassed 20 million copies in circulation.
