In late September 2026, members of the white nationalist organization Second Sons Canada conducted a demonstration near the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia. The masked participants, wearing black clothing and white face coverings, displayed a banner from an overpass containing the message ‘got bones?’, which officials and Indigenous leaders characterized as an attempt to intimidate survivors and deny the history of residential schools. Indigenous organizations, including the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Chief and Council and the Okanagan Nation Alliance, condemned the act as hate and racism. While the RCMP launched an investigation, online disinformation emerged claiming the event was a “false flag” operation by the government. However, visual evidence linked the participants to Second Sons Canada, an organization described by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network as being inspired by militant white nationalist groups. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-30: White nationalist group targets First Nation in British Columbia Masked individuals from the far-right group Second Sons Canada dropped a banner mocking residential school grave reports in Kamloops, B.C., debunking online claims that the event was a government false flag. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/white-nationalist-group-targets-first-nation-in-british-columbia ### 2026-09-28: Kamloops: Masked white nationalist group holds demonstration near former residential school Masked members of the white nationalist group Second Sons Canada held a demonstration near a former residential school in Kamloops, B.C., prompting safety warnings and condemnation from Indigenous leadership. 55 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tkemlps-te-secwpemc-first-nation-reports-white-nationalist-protest --- Cite as: White nationalist demonstration in Kamloops.
