Conservation efforts in Argentina’s Ansenuza National Park have focused on both the monitoring of native species and the rehabilitation of rescued animals.

Researchers from Aves Argentinas used satellite tracking and camera traps to document a female maned wolf named Cucusa giving birth to four pups. The footage showed the mother moving her offspring between shelters every few days to ensure survival. The maned wolf is considered a vulnerable species in Argentina.

In separate efforts, environmental authorities and the BioCórdoba Entity conducted several wildlife releases. This included returning a healthy, microchipped male maned wolf to the park following its rescue and stabilization at the Tatú Carreta center. Other released animals included a Jabiru stork, seven small birds recovered from illegal trafficking, and two lagoon turtles.
