Laboratory tests conducted on various window cleaning robot models have identified the Ecovacs W3 Omni as a top performer. In initial evaluations, the Ecovacs W3 Omni received an overall rating of 1.3, noted for its excellent cleaning capabilities. Other models highlighted included the Ecovacs Winbot Mini as a price tip and the Ecovacs W2S Omni as a top alternative, alongside the Dreame C1 Station and the budget-friendly Mova N1.

Subsequent testing confirmed the Ecovacs Winbot W3 Omni as the leading device, specifically praising its ability to minimize streaks and dirt residue on surfaces and edges. While noted as not being the fastest model, its comprehensive features—including a battery and cleaning station—contributed to its high rating. For consumers prioritizing value, the Hava U01 was identified as the winner for price-performance.

Recent developments in the sector include the release of the Ecovacs Winbot W2S Pro Omni, an upgrade to the W2S Omni. Priced at €599, this model utilizes suction to adhere to glass and moves via tracks. Key improvements include a 120 ml liquid reservoir and four corner brushes intended to clean edges more effectively. The device operates via a portable station with a battery, allowing for use away from electrical outlets while remaining connected to the station by a cable.
