Winter seasonal attractions in New York City and southern France began preparations for the 2026 holiday season. Initial announcements detailed the 90th anniversary of the Rockefeller Center ice rink, which included plans for an expanded Skate House, new VIP lounges, and festive lodges. In France, Le Barcarès announced its Village de Noël, featuring a coastal Christmas market and a new Ice Palace.

By October, the Rockefeller Center rink officially opened its anniversary season, highlighted by a public art installation by Kenny Scharf titled ‘Scary and the Dancers!’. Preparations also extended to the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, which scheduled its 25th season to begin in late October with an ice rink and an open-air marketplace.
