Various regional sports clubs and community organizations across Germany and Austria are organizing winter sports bazaars to facilitate the sale of second-hand equipment, such as skis, snowboards, and clothing, ahead of the upcoming season.

In Germany, events are scheduled throughout late October and November in locations including Daaden, Stein-Neukirch, Wissen, Höhn, and Bad Marienberg. In Gersthofen, the TSV Gersthofen Alpine Department will host a ‘Skibörse’ on November 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to approximately 2:30 PM, offering equipment exchange and instructor consultations. This will be followed by a second-hand bazaar and Christmas market on November 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

In Austria, organizations in Grieskirchen are planning a combined winter sports bazaar and ‘KIBAY’ event for November 7, focusing on sustainability through a children’s market. Additionally, the municipality of Althofen will host a winter sports exchange at the Kulturhaus on November 5 and 6. Organized by Social Councilor Klaus Trampitsch under the motto ‘reuse instead of waste,’ the event aims to improve affordability for families. Participants can drop off inspected equipment, such as skis, boots, and sleds, on November 5, with the sale occurring on November 6. Mayor Walter Zemrosser noted the event serves to support local families and strengthen social cohesion, with a small administrative fee collected to support social causes.
