In Ghana, World Vision signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Asunafo North Municipal and Asutifi North District Assemblies. This partnership focuses on providing universal WASH infrastructure to rural communities through pooled resources and technical expertise. The initiative utilizes Community-Led Total Sanitation strategies and emphasizes local leadership, gender equity, and the enforcement of sanitation by-laws. In Mexico, the organization introduced its National WASH 2026-2030 Strategy, targeting sustainable access for over 270,000 people, particularly children and adolescents. The plan aims to mobilize more than $7 million to rehabilitate infrastructure in 150 educational centers and 100 community spaces across nine states. This strategy addresses regional inequalities and environmental pressures like droughts and floods by strengthening local water committees and rainwater harvesting capabilities. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-22: World Vision México launches WASH 2026-2030 water strategy World Vision México’s new WASH 2026-2030 strategy aims to provide safe water and sanitation to 270,000 people across nine states through a $7 million investment in infrastructure and community training. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/world-vision-mexico-launches-wash-2026-2030-water-strategy ### 2026-09-27: World Vision Ghana signs MoU for rural WASH coverage World Vision Ghana and two Ahafo district assemblies have signed an MoU to deliver universal water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services and infrastructure to rural communities. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/world-vision-ghana-signs-mou-for-rural-wash-coverage --- Cite as: World Vision WASH initiatives in Ghana and Mexico.
