The Polish news station wPolsce24 is contesting viewership data provided by Nielsen, following reports that the station’s market share fell to 1.28 percent in September 2026. Editor-in-chief Jacek Karnowski has alleged that changes in measurement methodology, specifically regarding the integration of online platforms, have unfairly impacted the station’s results and advertising revenue. In response, the station launched a protest campaign titled ‘Nie damy się okraść!’ (We will not be robbed!). The data dispute has fueled a public conflict between brothers Jacek and Michał Karnowski. Jacek Karnowski suggested the viewership decline might be the result of a conspiracy. Conversely, Michał Karnowski, who left the station in late 2025, dismissed these theories, attributing the decline to potential mismanagement or programming changes. He further alleged that the station mismanaged 30 million PLN in borrowed funds. Jacek Karnowski responded by criticizing his brother’s focus on lobbying and external business interests. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-05: wPolsce24 disputes Nielsen viewership data amid declining market share The Polish news station wPolsce24 is challenging Nielsen's viewership data, alleging measurement changes have caused a sharp decline in their market share and advertising revenue. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/wpolsce24-disputes-nielsen-viewership-data-amid-declining-market-share ### 2026-10-05: Karnowski brothers clash over wPolsce24 viewership decline Brothers Jacek and Michał Karnowski are in a public feud following declining viewership at wPolsce24, involving allegations of financial mismanagement and personal business conflicts. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/karnowski-brothers-clash-over-wpolsce24-viewership-decline --- Cite as: wPolsce24 viewership dispute and Karnowski family conflict.
