Professional wrestler Danhausen issued a demand to WWE NXT General Manager Robert Stone to host the upcoming Halloween Havoc premium live event, threatening a curse if the request was not met. Following the demand, Shawn Michaels instructed management to resolve the issue. By late October, Danhausen was confirmed as the host for the event. WWE has since expanded its Halloween week programming to include multiple appearances by the character. Danhausen is scheduled to host ‘Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil Halloween Special’ on WWE’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, October 27, and will headline a SmackDown episode in Charleston, West Virginia, on Friday. The Halloween Havoc event on Saturday, October 31, will feature several high-profile matches. Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn is set to defend against Trick Williams, and NXT Champion Grayson Waller will defend against Tony D’Angelo. Other scheduled matches include Kelani Jordan against Wren Sinclair, Zilla Fatu against Charlie Dempsey, Naraku against Shiloh Hill, and Zaria against Izzi Dame. The event remains a significant milestone that may serve as a final appearance for several top NXT performers before they potentially transition to the main roster. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-26: WWE announces Danhausen-themed Halloween week events WWE has scheduled three appearances for Danhausen during Halloween week, including a YouTube special, a SmackDown episode, and hosting the NXT Halloween Havoc premium live event. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/wwe-nxt-prepares-for-halloween-havoc-premium-live-event ### 2026-10-14: Danhausen demands to host WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Danhausen has demanded to host the WWE NXT Halloween Havoc event, prompting Shawn Michaels to urge officials to address the request to avoid being “cursed.” 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/danhausen-demands-to-host-wwe-nxt-halloween-havoc --- Cite as: WWE NXT Halloween Havoc event preparations.
