PT XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera Tbk is expanding its 5G network capabilities and service offerings across Indonesia.

In early August, the company’s SMARTFREN brand launched an ‘Unlimited 5G’ service in Semarang, Central Java. This plan provides unlimited data speeds within the operator’s coverage area to support productivity and digital opportunities. The rollout in Semarang included the use of approximately 400 5G sites.

By mid-August, the company extended its ‘Unlimited 5G’ service to Makassar, South Sulawesi. To support broader network quality and coverage, XLSMART began the gradual utilization of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency spectrums. The 5G network is currently available in more than 50 cities and regencies throughout the country.
