XPeng’s robotics subsidiary, Dogotix, secured approximately $900 million in a major funding round, valuing the unit at more than $6.3 billion. The investment was led by IDG Capital with participation from Gaorong Ventures and strategic backing from Tencent and Alibaba.

The funding includes $600 million from external investors for Series A preferred shares, $200 million from an XPeng subsidiary, and $100 million from executive subscribers. The capital is designated for hardware and software R&D, the development of Physical AI models, and the establishment of mass-production facilities.

A primary focus of the unit is the IRON humanoid robot, which utilizes proprietary Turing AI chips. XPeng intends to reach a monthly production capacity of 1,000 IRON units by the end of 2026, with commercial deliveries to domestic and international customers expected to begin in 2027. XPeng will maintain controlling ownership and consolidate the business into its financial statements.
