The film adaptation of Seishi Yokomizo’s mystery novel ‘Yatsumura Mura’ has entered its promotional phase in Japan. Directed by Takashi Shimizu, the production celebrates the 80th anniversary of the detective character Kosuke Kindaichi by reimagining the original Showa-era setting for the Reiwa era.

Following a premiere in Tokyo where cast members including Matsuya Onoe, Tomoya Oku, and Mayu Hotta discussed the film’s visual impact and atmosphere, a nationwide release has been scheduled for September 18. The production features a soundtrack including the theme song ‘DOOM’ by the Tak Matsumoto Group (TMG).
